Through its 'Low Fare Love Match', Virgin America is guaranteeing the lowest comparable fares from Dallas Love Field, with low fares starting from $54 (DAL-DCA, taxes & fees included, restrictions applying) which can be purchased at virginamerica.com and 1-877-FLY-VIRGIN. Travel agents can search for the lowest Dallas fares by using the International Air Transport Association (IATA) city code of DFW (which applies to DAL and DFW), however travel agents using the SABRE GDS must use the city code "QDF" to search for both DFW and DAL flights.
Virgin America currently operates 13 daily departures from Dallas Love Field, increasing to 19 daily departures from April 28, 2015:
- DAL-SFO: 3 daily return services
- DAL-DCA: 3 daily return services
- DAL-LGA: 4 daily return services
- DAL-LAX: 3 daily return services, increasing to 4 daily from April 28, 2015.
- DAL-AUS: 5 daily return services, starting April 28, 2015.
In the spring of 2014, Virgin America launched a highly publicized "Free Love Field" campaign that ultimately garnered close to 28,000 signatures in just a few weeks in support of the carrier's case to bring more fare and product competition to the airport closest to downtown Dallas – Love Field.
