Vince Neil and Celebrity Friends Play Poker for a Great Cause
Charity Poker Tournament to Benefit the Skylar Neil Foundation
LAS VEGAS, Nov. 5, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is pleased to host Vince Neil's 6th Annual "Off The Strip Poker Tournament" on Sunday, November 7th at 8:00pm to benefit the Skylar Neil Foundation. The No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament will be the center of the action, just off the casino floor near Buzios Seafood restaurant.
Players who want to have a great time while supporting a great cause may register in person beginning Friday, Nov. 5 at the main casino cage. Participants will vie for a prize pool of $50,000 in cash and prizes, and payouts will be made to the final table of ten. First place winner will receive $6,000 and a $10,000 buy-in to the 2011 World Series of Poker® Main Event, second place takes home $10,000 and third place is awarded $7,000. The tournament buy-in is $550 including a $50 registration fee, and seating is limited to the first 200 entrants. Re-buys to benefit the charity will be offered during play for $200.
An amazing line-up of both rock and poker stars are anticipated at this year's tournament, hosted by Vince Neil of Motley Crue, and emceed by Director of World Series of Poker Jack Effel. Past players include Johnny Chan, Phil Gordon, Jennifer Harman, Layne Flack, Gavin Smith, Andy Block, David Williams, Evelyn Ng, Todd Brunson, Chip and Karina Jett, Lee Watkinson, Liz Lieu, Marc Traniello, Hoyt Corkins, Tom McEvoy, Kathy Leibert, TJ Cloutier, Phil Laak and Antonio Esfandiari.
A silent and live auction will be held throughout the event, giving both players and the public the chance to bid on an incredible collection of music, sports and movie memorabilia. All proceeds from the poker tournament as well as the silent and live auctions will benefit the Skylar Neil Foundation.
