Industry Awards and Recognition
VideoIQ received many industry accolades in 2009 acknowledging the company's establishment as an innovator and trusted source in video surveillance. Product Enhancements
During 2009, VideoIQ added significant new functionality to its flagship iCVR product family and accompanying VideoIQ View™ video management software. Key enhancements and features included:
- Browser access to both live video and alarm events -- In addition to accessing cameras and encoders from the VideoIQ View professional client, iCVR customers can now easily access recorded alarm events, view live video and perform select administrative functions via a web browser.
- Connectionless Operation -- iCVRs can now initiate a connection to monitoring centers automatically on alarm, enabling them to be used in cellular and other wide area installations with increased flexibility.
- Automatic e-mail notification -- When security threats are detected, the iCVR can directly e-mail alarm messages to pre-defined recipients. Notifications contain links, enabling direct web browser access to both the recorded alarm video clip and the live stream from the camera -- providing end-users and service providers with a zero-footprint method to immediately evaluate the threat and contact appropriate authorities from any location or supported device.
- Watermarked video export -- Users can create self-running evidence CDs for authorities or forensic investigators, including both event notification clips and complete, high-quality video event records. All video is watermarked for tamper proofing, and includes removable analytic markers.
- "Head and shoulders" indoor analytic detection -- This new indoor detection mode enables accurate detection and tracking of people even when desks and furniture substantially obscure them as they move through a typical office environment.
- PTZ control for iCVR encoder -- Analog PTZ cameras attached to iCVR encoders can now be controlled from the VideoIQ View software client. The iCVR encoder continuously records PTZ camera output and provides analytic monitoring while the PTZ is in its home position.
- 2 Way Audio with Recording Capability -- iCVR cameras and encoders can be configured for both audio talk down and listening capability, including full automated recordings of alarm events.
"By delivering breakthrough products that solve the unique challenges of today's security environment, we recorded another record year of tremendous growth," said Scott Schnell, president and CEO, VideoIQ. "During the year, we saw our leadership position in the video surveillance market continue to solidify with significant market adoption, industry award recognition and partner integrations. We're incredibly proud of our performance this past year and are looking forward to delivering even more value to our customers in 2010."
