SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- VideoAmp, a screen optimization platform that enables advertisers and media owners to transact seamlessly across devices, today solidified its team by appointing Nick Chakalos as the company's first vice president of global TV and data partnerships, a position created to accelerate the company's strategy around advanced TV. At VideoAmp, Chakalos' primary role will be forming and managing partnerships with the TV ecosystem.

Chakalos has over 25 years experience and has held senior positions in business development, sales, product management, general management, and operations. Chakalos previously served as senior vice president of global distribution at Cognitive Networks (which was acquired by Vizio) where he led partnerships with TV networks, television manufacturers and data providers across the globe. Prior to Cognitive Networks, Chakalos held executive roles at Catch Media Inc., Motorola, Ucentric Systems, and IBM. Chakalos earned dual bachelor's degrees in Engineering Sciences and Electrical Engineering from Dartmouth, and received his MBA from Babson College.
Additionally, VideoAmp expanded its sales team appointing Jessica Levine as director of advanced TV sales where she will be responsible for working with agency holding companies on the east coast. Levine previously served as director of video and mobile media at Xaxis. There she led video sales initiatives for Xaxis North America across Group M and direct clients.
In addition to fortifying its senior team, VideoAmp relocated its headquarters to a larger 6,000 square foot, state of the art office in Santa Monica.
VideoAmp most recently announced a $15M Series A funding round led by RTL Group, the leading European entertainment network. The investment brought VideoAmp's total funding to $17.2M with plans to rapidly accelerate development and drive adoption of its unique platform.
