Marie Ginette Mathurin is a Haitian structural engineer, and began working for UNICEF after the earthquake on January 12, 2010. She was so moved by the earthquake, and its effects in her country that she felt that she had to help the reconstruction process. She narrates, in her own words, the story of how she came to work for UNICEF, and how she is helping to construct semi-permanent schools in Haiti after the earthquake.
