NEW YORK, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2010 World Water Week in Stockholm, held September 5-11, gathered a record 2600 participants from 130 different countries. The focus of this year's event was on water quality and its links to human and environmental health, but several other water related issues were on the agenda during the week-long conference: Sanitation and disease prevention, strategies for climate change, the issue of water as a human right and ways of collaborating around transboundary water resources. This year's conference particularly highlighted the crucial links between clean water, development and poverty reduction.
