The conference on Trafficking in Human Beings for Sexual Exploitation and Prostitution in Abuja, Nigeria (November 15-16) aims to strengthen the national, regional and international platforms for cooperation to combat human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Key actors from a number of African countries, mainly Nigeria and Ghana, and representatives from the Swedish government, law enforcement- and social sector are gathering to exchange experiences and to learn more about both Swedish and West African initiatives, methods and perspectives to prevent and combat prostitution and human trafficking for sexual purposes.
The conference, organised by the Swedish Embassy in Abuja and the Swedish Institute (SI), in partnership with the Nigerian National Agency for Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), is the continuation of a Nigerian and Ghanaian delegation in Sweden in May 2010. Available video includes narrated packages and general views about the Anti-Human Trafficking project.
