BLOOMINGTON, Minn., Nov. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless Chief Operating Officer Marni Walden today unveiled the company's first Verizon Destination Store at Mall of America® in Bloomington, Minn. The store represents a new retail experience focused on discovering what wireless technology can do for a person's mobile lifestyles.
Covering 9,715 square feet, the new store features interactive Lifestyle Zones where customers can engage with specialists and experience wireless gadgets, apps and tech gear. The Verizon Destination Store also includes a dedicated area for consumers to attend free wireless workshops to learn tips and information about their devices.
The Verizon Destination Store is part of a broader initiative that includes the redesign of Verizon Wireless' more than 1,700 retail stores nationwide. Called Smart Stores, the newly designed locations showcase the same mobile lifestyle zones as the Verizon Destination Store but on a smaller scale.
Actress and singer Selena Gomez will be on hand for the Grand Opening of the store on Wednesday at 5 p.m. CST. The store opens to the public at 7 p.m. CT.
