Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Charitable Foundation Continues Support for British Heart Foundation
LONDON, June 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
The Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Charitable Foundation is continuing its commitment to working with the British Heart Foundation to fund vital research into new treatments for heart disease. Alongside its role as a major donor to cardiovascular research, the 52 year-old British Heart Foundation campaigns to raise awareness and improve patients' access to care.
The Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Charitable Foundation was founded by international businessman and philanthropist Victor Dahdaleh, and donates to health, educational and environmental programmes around the world. Its current support for British research into heart disease is not without precedent: previous beneficiaries include the globally renowned National Heart and Lung Institute at Imperial College London. The National Heart and Lung Institute is a leading centre of research into diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.
It is hoped that the Foundation's partnership with the British Heart Foundation will contribute to new breakthroughs in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.
As well as funding healthcare initiatives, the Victor Phillip Dahdaleh Charitable Foundation grants scholarships to disadvantaged students at several universities, and contributes to programmes that promote the social and economic development of poor countries.
