Viber Expands Global Footprint With Management Appointments in the US and Central and Eastern Europe

Global Messaging App Boosts Regional Management Teams to Increase Presence Worldwide
Viber, one of the world's leading messaging apps with more than 573 million users worldwide, today announced a new global management structure to adapt to the needs of the fast-growing business and implement growth activities across new markets. The move includes two new senior appointments: Scott Nelson, who will head up Viber North America; and Atanas Raykov, who takes on the role of general manager Viber, Central and Eastern Europe. As part of this expansion, Viber has moved to a pan-regional strategy, with the global management team taking responsibility for the following areas:
- Scott Nelson is newly appointed as Head of Viber North America.
- Crystal Lee, previously Country Manager for Viber Philippines, has been promoted to head up South East Asia, including Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar. As part of the move, Viber's marketing activities in Vietnam will now be run under Lee's management from its South East Asia hub, based in Manila. Kristian Melquiades continues as General Manager for Viber Philippines, responsible for the domestic business strategy and increasing Viber's presence in the Philippines through local partnerships.
- Atanas Raykov, is newly appointed as General Manager, Viber Central and Eastern Europe.
