NEW YORK, June 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Viacom (NASDAQ: VIA, VIAB) today announced a new Mobile Ad Sales executive team for the Music and Entertainment brands of its Media Networks. Pete Chelala has joined the company as Vice President of Mobile Product and Sales, while Deborah Schlessinger-Brett has been promoted to Vice President of Mobile Sales. Together, Chelala and Schlessinger-Brett will be responsible for developing client solutions that leverage the mobile platforms of MTV, VH1, CMT, Logo, COMEDY CENTRAL, Spike and TV Land.

As Vice President of Mobile Product and Sales, Chelala will drive strategy and development of mobile ad sales products across Viacom Media Networks' Music and Entertainment brands. He'll work closely with the company's digital products and content teams to package and sell its mobile ad products for both mobile-specific and convergent solutions. Chelala will report to Melanie DiMemmo, Senior Vice President of Digital Ad Sales for Music and Entertainment.
Chelala joins Viacom from The Weather Channel where he worked for the past four years building and selling marketing solutions across the company's mobile platform. Prior to The Weather Channel, Chelala spent three years in the online ad sales at both About.com and Yahoo!. Before moving into ad sales, Chelala worked in production on commercials, music videos and feature films out of Los Angeles.
As Vice President of Mobile Sales, Schlessinger-Brett will be responsible for selling mobile inventory and ad products across the company's Music and Entertainment brands. In her role, she will drive mobile sales strategy, working collaboratively with the company's digital and linear ad sales leaders. Schlessinger-Brett will report to Sarah Iooss, Senior Vice President of Digital Ad Sales for Music and Entertainment.
Schlessinger-Brett has held several positions at Viacom since joining the company in 2006. Most recently, she served as Director of New Business for the Nickelodeon Group. She's also held roles in Digital Ad Sales for Comedy Central and Spike in the company's New York and Chicago offices. Prior to joining Viacom, Deborah worked at J. Walter Thompson
