Very Engaging, a Playful and Romantic Conversation Guidebook for Couples, Launches on Kickstarter Today
The book 'gamifies' relationship questions and enables playful, productive communication for dating, engaged & recently married couples.
LOS ANGELES, July 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Very Engaging launches its Kickstarter campaign today! This playful and romantic conversation guidebook for couples is the first of its kind. The book set, which includes two complementary books (one for each partner), guides couples through relationship-defining conversation topics with confidence and humor. Today marks the chance for couples worldwide to pre-order their copy and embark on a fun, interactive, and romantic exploration of their relationship!
Navigating big conversation topics can be a challenge for couples at any stage in their relationship. Conversations about relationship-defining topics such money, family, and sex can be difficult to initiate and navigate as they often end in conflict. The Very Engaging book set provides a fresh perspective on how to approach those conversations with a playful tone and design. What makes Very Engaging unique is its ability to 'gamify' deep questions that arise in most romantic relationships with fun, interactive conversation prompts, including drawing activities, fill-in-the-blanks, and guessing games.
The conversation guidebooks are structured into 12 chapters, guiding couples through critical topics such as money, family, and sex. Couples are encouraged to sit down together (with pencils in hand!) and play through a chapter at a time. Every page's purpose is to create a fun and constructive discussion. Very Engaging proves it's never too late to learn something new about yourself, your partner, and your relationship.
"The idea for this book first came to fruition when Les and I were co-workers. At the time, Les was recently married, and I had just gotten engaged. Between our conversations about getting to know our partners, as well as hearing from other friends and co-workers about their pre-marital counseling experiences, we all found common ground in the fact that initiating these big conversations with our partners could be daunting, intimidating, and downright awkward at times. We wanted to create a fun, approachable way for couples to stimulate meaningful and fruitful conversations," said Charly Ligety, Co-Author of Very Engaging.
"The $50 billion wedding industry is largely focused on that one day, and often geared toward females. We wanted to provide something that also spoke to men and harnessed the same fun energy as the wedding day, while helping couples really navigate the nuances and challenges of marriage beyond saying 'I do.' We also noticed there was a lack of meaningful engagement gifts on the market. You get items like candles and picture frames, but nothing that is actually going to help you become a better partner," said Les Starck, Co-Author of Very Engaging.
Charly and Les have been researching and writing Very Engaging since early 2016. Charly and Les have worked alongside several marriage and family therapists and dozens of couples in all stages of relationships in developing the conversation activities. Every page has been tested and reiterated hundreds of times to ensure every conversation activity successfully creates a playful and romantic experience.
The Kickstarter is live today and running for the next month through August 27th, 2017. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the Very Engaging movement and be one of the first backers of this innovative take on an age-old problem. Very Engaging can benefit couples in all stages of relationships and makes for a great engagement, wedding, or anniversary gift. The book set is available in standard packaging and special gift packaging. In addition to pre-ordering the book set, 12 lucky backers will have the opportunity to have their name written into one of the book's conversation activities.
