Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Network to Expand in the Greater Columbus Area
COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless today announced that it will expand the nation's largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network in Greater Columbus on April 19. The expanded 4G LTE network will enable customers to use their wireless devices in more parts of the Columbus area to access the Internet faster; listen to music or watch video on their phones; use thousands of apps; and stay in touch with family and friends, all with speeds up to 10 times faster than before.
Verizon Wireless 4G LTE service is currently available in Columbus including the Arena District, Blendon Woods, Duxberry Park, Easton, Linworth and Schiller Park, and in the cities of Dublin, Gahanna, Grove City, Lockbourne, New Albany, Norton, Pataskala, Pickerington and Plain City Reynoldsburg and Sunbury. With the planned network expansion, residents in the Newark/Heath, Granville, Hebron, Buckeye Lake and Circleville areas will have access to the nation's fastest 4G network.

In real-world, fully loaded network environments, Verizon Wireless 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
