Verizon FiOS TV Subscribers Have Opportunity to See YES Network's First Major League Baseball 3D Telecasts
Verizon to Distribute YES Network's Historic July 10 and 11 Yankees-Mariners Games in 3D
NEW YORK, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- In an ongoing effort to offer the latest advances in TV programming, Verizon will provide FiOS TV customers who have 3D TV sets and live in the New York metropolitan area with the first Major League Baseball 3D telecasts: YES' New York Yankees-Seattle Mariners games on July 10 and 11.

FiOS TV customers who live in New York City, Long Island, parts of New Jersey, and Westchester, Rockland and Putnam counties will be among the first to see the YES 3D programming. Customers must have a high-definition set-top box, a 3D television set and 3D glasses. Verizon will provide interested subscribers with a free manual-adjustment procedure so the set-top box can sync the 3D signal with the 3D TV, which is required to watch this YES Network 3D telecast.
Verizon is currently developing a formal 3D offering that will be available in time for the winter holiday shopping season, when 3D television sales are expected to spike.
FiOS TV offers a broad collection of programming, with more than 565 all-digital channels including up to 140 HD channels and 18,000 monthly video-on-demand titles. FiOS also provides next-generation interactive services including an advanced interactive media guide; social networking, news and entertainment widgets; remote DVR management via broadband or cell phone; and more.
