Ven Poole Succeeds Jim Perry as Chairman at Waste Industries
RALEIGH, N.C., March 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Waste Industries USA, Inc. announced today that Jim Perry will be succeeded by Ven Poole, CEO, as Chairman of the Board at Waste Industries effective March 31, 2015.
Mr. Perry, who was the company's first employee, has been with Waste Industries for 44 years. As part of the founder's ownership group, he will continue to serve as a Director on the Board and will serve as Compensation Committee Chairman.

Also taking effect on March 31, 2015, several title changes will be initiated for the existing senior leadership team. Changes include Greg Yorston, President and Chief Operating Officer; Steve Grissom, Senior VP and Chief Financial Officer; and Lisa Inman, Senior VP and General Counsel.
Since Waste Industries was founded in Raleigh, NC in 1970, Jim Perry has helped lead the success that saw the company expand its service area to include Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia, managing solid waste collection, recycling, and disposal for over one million residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Waste Industries now employs over 2,100 people full time, operating over 900 heavy trucks, 16 recycling centers, 28 transfer stations, and 20 landfills. The company reported over $550 million in revenues in 2014.
