Vantage Residential and Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance Announce the Opening of EL ESCAPARATE: A Storefront Art Show by Latinos Uptown

NEW YORK, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Vantage Residential and Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) announce El Escaparate: A Storefront Art Show by Latinos Uptown – an official event of the Latin Media and Entertainment Week.

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and to promote Latino arts and cultures uptown, three vacant storefront locations will be converted into art showcases featuring the work of nine local Latino artists.

Pedestrians will have a chance to view the artwork in the windows at all times of the day at 3495 Broadway (143rd Street), 4101 Broadway (173rd Street) and 3855 Broadway (161st Street). In addition, the interior of the 3855 Broadway space will be open to the public as a mini-gallery for the opening and closing receptions.

Featured artists include: Carlos Almonte, Rene De los Santos, Pepe Coronado, Iliana Emilia Garcia, Scherezade Gelabert, Dionis Ortiz, M. Tony Peralta, Favianna Rodriguez and Moses Ros-Suarez. The curators for the exhibits are Rocio Aranda-Alvarado and El Museo del Barrio.
