Vantage Properties Appoints Raquel Batista As Key Executive
Named Vice President, Corporate Responsibility & Compliance
NEW YORK, May 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Vantage Properties announces the appointment of Raquel Batista as Vice President, Corporate Responsibility and Compliance, with oversight of the real estate company's commitment to providing residents with high-quality affordable housing.

Ms. Batista will work closely with residents, community leaders, elected officials and local organizations on a wide array issues – with a focus on ensuring residents receive a high level of service. Ms. Batista will also serve as Vantage's primary liaison with non-profit, civic and community groups.

Prior to joining Vantage, Ms. Batista most recently was executive director of the Northern Manhattan Coalition for Immigrant Rights. She also served as an Adjunct Professor of Latin American and Puerto Rican Studies at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, was a board member of the New York Immigration Coalition, North Star Community Funding Board and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund Alumni Board. Ms. Batista co-founded and is an active member of the Latina Political Action Committee. She has been honored by El Diario La Prensa, New York State Senate and Dominican Women's Development Center. Ms. Batista earned her JD from the City University of New York School of Law at Queens College and her BA in Sociology, cum laude, from Manhattan College.
