uVuMobile Brings Interactive Mobile Sports Tips and skills Apps to Intel
uVuMobile partners with Pro Tips 4U to develop a suite of mobile video applications for Intel's AppUP™ platform
ATLANTA, Dec. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- uVuMobile™, Inc. (Pink Sheets: UVUM), a mobility solutions and content aggregator today announced that they will be first to market with a suite of interactive video sports training and skills applications for Intel Atom-based devices such as the NetBook, Smartphones and Interactive TV systems. The applications will be available through the new Intel AppUP mobile store, which is currently available on the Intel NetBook Computer. Intel has shipped over 80 million NetBook computers to date. Best Buy, U.S.: Dixons, UK; and Croma, India are pre-installing AppUP on all of the NetBooks they sell as-well-as making it available for download to current NetBook users. ASUS is also developing a branded version.
In 2010, application stores will exceed 4.5 billion downloads and consumers will spend $6.2 billion in them, according to a Gartner Inc. forecast. Gartner is a worldwide information technology research and advisory company. Mobile application stores' worldwide download revenue exceeded $4.2 billion in 2009 and will grow to $29.5 billion by the end of 2013. The research firm's revenue forecast includes end-user spending on paid-for applications and advertising-sponsored free applications. "The share of advertising revenue is increasing, though it will only be 25 percent of the app stores' revenue by 2013," said Stephanie Baghdassarian, research director at Gartner, Egham, Britain.

The application also allows the user to ask questions or post comments to the athletes Facebook page.
uVuMobile's very first offering will be a Soccer Skills Application with Cobi Jones in the early first quarter 2011. Many additional athletes and sports offerings will quickly follow. uVuMobile envisions an entire suite of sports instruction applications for users who play or coach high school, college and league (professional, semi-professional and recreational) sports. These new applications are expected to range in price from $1.99 to $9.99.
