U.S. Preventive Medicine® Vice-Chairman Dr. Ron Loeppke to Present at Dr. Dee Edington's 30th Annual Wellness in the Workplace Conference
UofM Health Management Research Center Brings Industry Leaders Together to Discuss Employer Wellness Programs and Employee Health
DALLAS, March 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. Preventive Medicine®, the leader in disease prevention services, announced today that Vice-Chairman Dr. Ron Loeppke will speak at the University of Michigan Health Management Research Center's 30th Annual Wellness in the Workplace Conference. Dr. Loeppke's presentation, titled "Preventive Medicine: The Next Generation," will occur on March 10 at 1:15 pm.
Dr. Loeppke will discuss the power of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention in lowering key health risk factors in order to reduce the burden of chronic illness, improve productivity and decrease total health care costs. Presentation topics include how individual health promotion, organizational environments and cultures, and worksite wellness activities impact health care cost containment, disability, productivity and human resource development.
The conference is chaired by Dr. Dee Edington, a professor in the School of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan and Director of its Health Management Research Center. Dr. Edington's research focuses on the precursors of disease and vitality.

Ron Loeppke, MD, MPH, FACOEM, FACPM is Vice-Chairman of U.S. Preventive Medicine and serves as co-chair of the company's International Advisory Board.
