SUNDAY, MAY 23: NOT TOO LATE
Profile America — Sunday, May 23rd. Census Day was April 1st, and many people may have put off filling out the form they received in the mail. By now, they may feel that it's too late to be counted in the 2010 Census. It's important to note that's not the case. Some 700,000 census takers now are visiting households across the country, until everyone is counted. If your home is visited, know that census takers will ask only the same 10 simple questions on the census form, in an interview that takes only about 10 minutes. Your answers are confidential by law and will help to ensure that your community receives its fair share of some $400 billion of federal funds distributed according to census results. You can learn more about the current census online at 2010.census.gov.
