Upload Launches Massive Consumer Virtual Reality Event Tour
Virtual Reality Community Declares 2015 'The Year of VR' Following the CES Buzz
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Upload Productions Inc., publicly announced the largest consumer VR event in history. The event is taking place on January 16th, in San Francisco at City View at the Metreon just one week after CES, where virtual reality companies like Oculus and Samsung showed off their latest virtual reality products for consumers. UPLOAD has an all-star panel, art, music, and over 60 of the latest and greatest in VR demos and technology. The company's Chief Connector, Nick Ochoa, expects "an enthusiastic crowd of around 1,500 enthusiasts, developers, investors and first timers."
The event has some big name sponsors (Samsung Gear VR, NextVR, Metreon, Dolby, Unreal Engine, Sixense, zSpace, Razer, Leap Motion, DODOcase, Seebright, Altspace, Nod Labs, WorldViz, Visionary VR and Immersion VRelia) and all-star speakers from Google Ventures, Samsung, Highland Capital, Unreal Engine, Dolby and more. UPLOAD will kick off the evening with three panel discussions, open to VIP ticket holders, that will cover the future of VR across multiple industries. The panels will be lead by Andrew Dickerson, best known for leading the team that created the Gear VR at Samsung, VR celebrity Cymatic Bruce Wooden and General Manager of Unreal Engine 4 at Epic Games, Ray Davis.
