Over 100 Papers with More Expected Later this Summer
TURNERSVILLE, N.J., July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The Computer Measurement Group (CMG), a not-for-profit, worldwide organization of IT professionals, is pleased to report an unprecedented response to the recent Call for Papers solicitation for this year's 36th International CMG conference (CMG'10) taking place December 6-10 in Orlando, Florida.
Submissions have exceeded expectations in both quality and diversity across a wide range of key IT subject areas including: cloud computing, measurement tools and techniques, load and stress testing, performance optimization, software performance engineering, resource management, capacity analysis, applied statistics and forecasting, simulation and analytic modeling, and cost containment and management.
The enthusiastic response is a testament to the focus and expertise that fellow CMG members are willing to share with their IT colleagues, and it highlights the incredible productivity gains to be realized from the adoption of the many optimized processes. It is also an early indication of broad participation in CMG'10.
"We believe the word is getting out that this year's International CMG Conference focusing on "technology exploitation and the bottom line" will be strong and engaging. CMG'10 is the premier conference in which IT professionals from all industries including banking, healthcare, government and technology markets can connect directly with true subject matter experts on all areas of performance and capacity management and learn from fellow practitioners. There is no doubt that those who attend will learn and understand key performance and capacity issues and gain insight to the solutions that can control IT expenses," said Bill Jouris, General Chair of the CMG'10 conference.
More papers and presentations are expected later this summer for the "late breaking track" and even more papers are expected for the Michelson award winner track. The Michelson is a lifetime achievement award presented annually by CMG to an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the field of computer performance, management and capacity planning.
CMG will continue to deliver a special emphasis on "doing more with less" with sessions and tutorials on capacity planning for green datacenters, virtualization, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), ITIL & IT Service Management, E2E (end-to-end) application performance, and the technological implications of globalization.
