University of Illinois' Illini Tower Launches Progressive Savings Program With Compounded Rate Drops for Each Year Students Renew Residential Leases
CHAMPAIGN, Ill., April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- University of Illinois' Illini Tower, the landmark, private student housing community, which turned heads earlier this month as the site of the Skyline Plunge repelling event, earning more than $10,000 for the Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago, is embarking on a new endeavor aimed to thrill and save.
Residents who sign leases for the fall 2010 semester will find themselves in the unique position of seeing their housing fees decline on a compounded basis each academic year they renew when maintaining the same room type. Each successive year, the monthly rate will decrease by a multiple of $10. The second year would be $10 x 10 months for $100 in savings, the third year $20.00 x 10 months for $200 and the fourth $30 x 10 months for $300.
According to John Iannuzzo, Vice President of Marketing for Campus Living Villages, "With concern about escalating tuitions, fees and housing costs at an all time high for parents and students, this program was designed not just to take the guesswork out of calculating housing expenses with a guaranteed rate, but also to create some discretionary savings as residents progress through their coursework to offset increases in other college-related expenditures."
With 40 years of history on the University of Illinois campus, Illini Tower has drawn generations of families for its prime location and blend of residence hall community life with apartment-style floor plans ranging from open studios to spacious four-bedroom, two-bath units. Under the direction of Campus Living Villages, a pioneer in the student housing sector, residents also enjoy incomparable academic and social programming, acclaimed dining at The Piazza Fresca, plus a full-range of preferred amenities included in rent such as water and electricity, local telephone with caller id, high-speed Internet (wired and WiFi), cable, 24-hour emergency maintenance, 24-hour study lounge with Internet access, fitness center, computer center and game room.
