SHENZHEN, China, Sept. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Universal Travel Group Inc. ("Universal Travel Group" or the "Company") (NYSE: UTA), a leading travel services provider in China, offering package tours, air ticketing, and hotel reservation services online and via customer service representatives, today announced that the Company will hold its annual meeting of stockholders (the "Annual Meeting") on Monday, September 19, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. local time in Shenzhen, China.

The time and location of Universal Travel Group's annual meeting of stockholders are as follows:

At the annual meeting of stockholders, the following proposals will be submitted for stockholder approval and are fully described in the Proxy Statement issued on August 16, 2011. 1. To elect three (3) directors in Class I to serve on the Board of Directors of the Company (the "Board"), with such Class I directors to serve until the 2014 Annual Meeting of Stockholders and until their respective successors have been duly elected and qualified or until his earlier resignation, removal or death;
2. To ratify the appointment of EFP Rotenberg & Co., LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for our fiscal year ending December 31, 2011; and
3. To act on such other matters as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment or adjournments thereof.
