Uncle Paulie's Deli Opens in L.A.

LOS ANGELES, July 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, July 1, 2017, New York native Paul James opened an Italian-American Deli in the Beverly Grove section of Los Angeles. James moved to L.A. in 2015 and struggled to find a traditional East Coast sandwich. With the influx of east coasters migrating west, there seemed to be an obvious void needing to be filled. Uncle Paulie's is quickly filling that void. The flawlessly executed Italian sandwich and chopped salad are two of the popular staples you can expect to see on the deli's growing menu. Paul set out to share a feeling of the neighborhood he grew up in with his customers. The centrally located deli will not only serve as the go-to lunch spot but will satisfy the weekly cold cut run for the family provisions and fresh mozzarella made in house daily.

The deli offers best in class Italian cured meats and salami, local produce, fresh pressed olive oils, imported cheeses, spices and other rare ingredients incorporated into their menu of sandwiches and salads. Additionally, the shop is generously stocked with nostalgic Italian delights and sundries such as fresh baked cookies and cakes, homemade ice tea and ice coffee on tap daily. Frank Pinello, host of VICE's "The Pizza Show" teamed up with Los Angeles based chef Austin Itri to create the deli's menu and delectable recipes. Finally and above all is the bread. Seeded rolls and baguettes are baked fresh each day.

The location includes a handful of both indoor and outdoor seating. Delivery is currently available during regular business hours through Postmates and GrubHub. In the coming months you can expect to see additions such as breakfast sandwiches, a collaborative menu item with world famous Italian restaurant Rao's and a catering menu.
