CHICAGO, April 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Studios, the global leader in digital events, environments and communities, today announced that it has won two Business Marketing Association of New York ACE awards. The Awards recognize the year's top creative campaigns, the inspired talent who conceived them, and the agencies and clients who have successfully elevated brand and driven demand.
"We are very excited to have received top honors in this competition. These awards highlight our talented team as well as our strong commitment to digital environments," said Kate Spellman, President, UBM Studios. "We look forward to continuing to listen to the needs of our customers and developing future digital environments that help drive business forward."
The winning digital environments include:
- UBM Studios and UBM Channel won second place in the Microsite Landing Page-Under $25,000 category for COMDEXvirtual.com. COMDEXvirtual is a global IT channel industry event targeted to solution providers. The event addressed key issues pertinent to solution providers and presented with the latest wave of new technologies. UBM Channel partnered with UBM Studios to create a robust and interactive landing page and digital environment that was visually and functionally rich to support a large audience of simultaneous users. COMDEXvirtual hosted more than 4,300 attendees over the course of two days. The virtual event featured more than 40 speakers, a dozen keynotes, and nine on demand conference sessions. According to survey feedback, more than 90 percent of attendees suggested the content presented was relevant and interesting and thought the environment was intuitive and user friendly.
Michael O'Sullivan, Creative Director, UBM Studios said, "The landing page brings the COMDEXvirtual environment to life. It's an interactive gateway to the extensive UBM Channel environment. We created this intuitive interface with appealing visuals to encourage interest and interaction."
- UBM Studios and UBM Built Environment won third place in the Social Media Twitter Campaign category for the Collaborative BIM Series. The Collaborative BIM Series digital event series of four editorial focused webinars supported by the Building magazine brand (www.building.co.uk) and produced by the Client Solutions team (www.clientsolutions.co.uk). The webinar series was presented in UBM Studios' Webcast Theater. The seminar series created a platform to provide practical advice and guidance on the subject of BIM (Building Information Modelling) and featured an editorially-led online resource center, provided practical advice and guidance through a series of webinars as well as documents and links. Additionally, a prominent industry expert was appointed as the "social media chair" to promote the third webinar through Twitter.
