This facility consists of a 38,858 square foot building located on 5.2 acres of land. The building was built in 1970 and formerly operated as the Center for Employment Training (CET) Rancho‑Temecula.
Samual Pennock, general manager of U-Haul Moving and Storage of Temecula, is ecstatic to be able to offer U-Haul customers even more flexibility for their moving needs. This new facility will enable Pennock and his team to meet every customer's needs in the most efficient way possible.
"The city of Temecula has deep historical roots, with the first known settlers dating back to the late 1700's," Pennock said. "It's a place that appeals to both country folks with its beautiful wine country and horse properties, as well as those who enjoy the newest restaurants or the trendiest shops. Temecula is known for mixing old traditions with new ideas, similar to the way U-Haul does business. With our store in the heart of the city, the opportunities to gain new customers and help them with their moving needs are endless."
While this property is still in the early stages of construction, a full line of U-Haul products; trucks, cargo vans and pickup trucks, are available. As 2015 progresses, U-Haul Moving and Storage of Temecula will continue to expand until the entire property space is occupied. Plans for expansion include the addition of propane, climate and non-climate controlled self-storage units, U-Box moving and self-storage containers, hitch installation and trailer wiring and transmission cooler installation.
The acquisition of the CET Rancho-Temecula was driven by U-Haul Company's Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul supports infill development to help local communities lower their carbon footprint. Our adaptive reuse of existing buildings reduces the amount of energy and resources required for new-construction materials and helps cities reduce their unwanted inventory of unused buildings.
