There are five Auto Drive 1 locations in neighboring counties. This location, at 90 Freeport St. in Dorchester, is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.

Auto Drive 1 has enjoyed a successful start as a U-Haul dealer in its first few months and if that continues, the other locations are likely to partner with the leader in do-it-yourself moving. Auto Drive 1 in Dorchester has four employees; combined, the locations maintain about 50 workers.
