NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev., May 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Located minutes from Las Vegas Boulevard, U-Haul Moving and Storage at W. Lake Mead Boulevard has officially opened its doors. Formally Pic-N-Pac Storage, the property consists of a two-story self-storage building and a one-story self-storage building containing an office and an apartment.
The buildings, constructed in 2005, feature 634 self-storage rooms, of which 543 are air-cooled. This facility, located at 3083 W. Lake Mead Boulevard, just south of the North Las Vegas Airport, offers both indoor and drive-up self-storage rooms.
Marc Rasmussen, general manager of the W. Lake Mead property, is excited about this new acquisition and what it will do for this growing community.
"This is a prime location, as we are one of the only storage centers in the area," Rasmussen said. "We are located right off the corner of a busy intersection, with many housing developments and apartment complexes nearby. This location will be convenient and a great fit for the U-Haul customer."
The opening of this facility is driven by U-Haul Company's Corporate Sustainability initiatives: U-Haul supports infill development to help local communities lower their carbon footprint. Our adaptive reuse of existing buildings eliminates the amount of energy and resources required for new-construction materials and helps local cities diminish their unwanted inventory of unused buildings.
