TSCP Releases Specification for Identity Federation

VIENNA, Va., June 4, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Transglobal Secure Collaboration Participation, Inc. (TSCP) has released its "Identity Federation Common Operating Rules," a specification that establishes operational policy for improving interoperability among disparate collaborating organizations. TSCP's global members, which include leading defense and technology companies and European and U.S. government departments and agencies, have experienced firsthand the need to secure and improve collaboration among its members. They are frequently partners on major projects that span international borders, and therefore set out to frame a compliance infrastructure for identity federation that makes the sharing of mission-critical and sensitive information safer and more efficient. Several TSCP members have been active participants in the development of the Federal Identity and Access Management (FICAM) Roadmap; FICAM processes were incorporated in the Common Operating Rules. TSCP members have collectively invested over $400 million developing an identity federation infrastructure that utilizes the TSCP Common Operating Rules.
