TRX Improves Direct Connect Booking Capabilities in Latest Version of RESX
RESX v9.4 Improves Booking Capabilities for Southwest Airlines and Air Canada Direct Connect Content
ATLANTA, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- TRX, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRXI), a global technology company that develops and hosts software applications to process data records and automate manual processes, today announced the release of RESX v9.4.
RESX is a leading online booking tool allowing corporate travelers to create policy-compliant and on-budget travel reservations via a hosted web interface and integrated expense management services delivered seamlessly through optional integration with a TRX Expense Partner Network provider.
RESX v9.4 features improvements to the direct connect integrations of Air Canada's ac2u direct connect interface and Southwest Airlines' SWABIZ interface via Booking Builder. These improvements enhance users' abilities to shop and book premium content and expand middle and back-office tracking and reporting capabilities associated with direct connect reservations.
RESX now offers more seamless booking and reporting capabilities for SWABIZ and Air Canada flights by allowing corresponding car and hotel availability, passive GDS segments, customizable passenger name record (PNR) documentation and trip reporting. Including passive segments into the PNR provides travel management companies with a holistic view into complete air spend without regard to content source for both online and offline reservations. Risk management reporting is also improved by providing corporate travel managers with complete data sets for traveler security reporting.
"We are very pleased to be able to offer the capability of SWABIZ in RESX to our clients. Based on our research, this capability is unique to RESX, and as a RESX reseller we have a competitive advantage over agencies selling other on-line tools. The SWABIZ enhancement will allow us to continue to provide high quality services to our clients to meet their evolving travel needs," commented Jerry Kaminski, President, Gwins Corporate Travel.
"We will continue to add new and improved features within RESX to help our customers succeed in the market place," said Shane Hammond, President and CEO, TRX. "Expanding content choices increases traveler booking options and ultimately drives down costs for RESX users," added Hammond.
Other features in the RESX v9.4 release include improvements to the TSA data reporting protocols, removing the need for mid-office tool intervention through seamlessly passing traveler identification data to airlines in the proper format, and enhancements to RESX's contract rate pricing logic designed to increase the use of contracted rates at the time of booking.
The new version is currently available to all RESX users.
