CUPERTINO, Calif., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Trend Micro Encryption, an email encryption solution which uses Identity-Based encryption (IBE) technologies, achieved the lowest total cost of ownership compared with the costs of competing Public Key Infrastructure-based (PKI) email encryption solutions, according to independent research firm Enterprise Strategy Group.

The analysis of the true costs of email encryption, conducted by Enterprise Strategy Group and commissioned by Trend Micro, found that Trend Micro's IBE-based email encryption solution can deliver real financial benefits from the initial purchase through product deployment and ongoing operations; the total cost of ownership for the Trend Micro Encryption vs. PKI solutions yielded a 78 percent savings.
