MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Transportation marketing and sales professionals are entering their best work in the 2017 TMSA Compass Awards Program. The program is in its 65th year of existence by the Transportation Marketing & Sales Association, and encourages excellence in marketing, communications, and sales practices in the commercial freight transportation and logistics industry.
"The goal of the Compass Awards Program is to highlight the most innovative marketing and sales programs in the transportation industry," said Elena Izakson, director of marketing for Hub Group and the chairperson of the TMSA Recognition Committee. "The coveted awards program aims to raise the standard and provide well-deserved recognition to our industry's top marketing and sales practitioners."
This year's Compass Awards Program will feature 14 submission categories: Integrated Campaign, Advertising Campaign, Events, Direct Marketing Campaign, Marketing and Sales Collateral, Digital Sales and Marketing, Social Media Campaign, Media Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility or Diversity Campaign, CRM Solution, Sales and Marketing Collaborated Effort, New Product Development, and Pricing Process and Analysis. Content Marketing is a new category added this year.
Entrants in the program are required to prepare a program blueprint that is a written description of their marketing or sales strategy, and any related work samples. Entries then are judged by industry peers and other well-respected marketing and sales experts nationwide. The regular deadline to submit entries is Feb. 10, although an early bird deadline of Jan. 27 allows entrants to save U.S. $25 per entry. Winners will be recognized during a special program at the 2017 TMSA Marketing & Sales Conference, to be held near Jacksonville, Fla., June 11-13.
