Total Table Games Revenue Exceeds $50 Million for Third Consecutive Month

HARRISBURG, Pa, June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board today posted on its web site the revenue figures for May table games play at the ten operating casinos.

Table games produced $51,401,083 in gross revenue in May generating $8,282,211 in tax revenue. Pennsylvania has a 16% tax rate on gross table games revenue with 14% going to the Commonwealth's General Fund and 2% to the local host county and municipality.

May's total gross revenue exceeded $50 million for the third consecutive month, and table games has now returned more than $238 million in tax revenue to the state and local communities. That includes $73,390,655 in taxes from the play of table games along with $165 million in one-time table games certification fees paid collectively by the casinos.
