The Design of the Year Award went to Shenzhen Mele Digital Technology Ltd.'s HMC M21H full-HD Internet multimedia player. It supports 3.5in HDD with up to 3TB memory, SATA 2.5, 512MB DDR3 RAM and 4GB NAND flash memory. Powered by an HI3716C CPU and Arm Cortex A9 processor, it runs on an Android 2.2 OS and has ports for USB 2.0/3.0, Ethernet, S/PDIF, L/R stereo, CVBS and HDMI 1.3. The player boasts DVB-T, MP3, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS audio decode, 3D motion gaming, Skype, Flash 10.1 and HTML5. The device also has a Web browser, a card reader, video streaming playback, and e-mail and instant messaging.
