Today Is Comcast Cares Day, One Of The Nation's Largest Single Days Of Volunteerism
7,000 volunteers expected to participate in more than 80 projects in Illinois, NW Indiana and SW Michigan
CHICAGO, April 26, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today is Comcast Cares Day, one of the largest corporate volunteer initiatives in the nation. This year, on Comcast Cares Day's 13th anniversary, the company anticipates that about 7,000 regional employees from Illinois, northwest Indiana and southwest Michigan and their families, friends and community partners will participate in volunteer projects in locations ranging from Quincy, IL, to South Bend, IN; from Decatur to Rockford, IL; and all across the Chicago area.

Comcast expects that more than 80,000 Comcast and NBCUniversal volunteers will participate today in more than 700 projects across the country and around the globe. Since Comcast Cares Day began in 2001, more than a half million volunteers have contributed more than 3 million volunteer hours.
