SAP HANA transforms the way companies think, plan and work by enabling them to do real-time analyses, planning and simulations on massive amounts of transactional data. The demand for SAP HANA has rapidly increased since it was first announced just a few months ago. Kollatz joins to meet this demand and to rapidly scale and drive the widespread adoption and implementation of SAP HANA.
Kollatz will report to Dr. Vishal Sikka, member of the SAP Executive Board leading technology and innovation.
"SAP HANA is in the market and we are seeing strong adoption from customers," said Dr. Sikka. "From a product and technology standpoint, SAP HANA is transforming the SAP product portfolio, opening up new markets for SAP and renewing our existing solutions. Christoph's background as a former CEO-level customer of SAP as well as his strong management and operational background will enable us to massively scale the adoption of SAP HANA and meet the strong demand we are seeing."
"This is an exciting time in SAP's history and a tremendous opportunity for me to be part of a world-class development organization," said Dr. Kollatz. "As a customer of SAP, I was able to see the dedication and drive firsthand. Now, as part of SAP, I look forward to building upon the success of SAP HANA and helping to drive large-scale adoption of this transformational technology globally."
Prior to joining SAP, Kollatz was CEO of Siemens IT Solutions and Services, leading a EUR 5 billion organization with approximately 38,000 people. He began his professional career at Siemens in 1989 in internal management consulting. During his tenure with the company, he led a variety of businesses in different areas, including the Siemens Power Generation Group, Siemens Business Services and the Siemens I&S Group.
Kollatz studied industrial engineering and holds a doctoral degree in financial economics.
