Ticonderoga Securities Launches Coverage of Energy Sector
Three Senior Analysts Initiate Coverage on Nine Companies
NEW YORK, Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Ticonderoga Securities, an institutional broker dealer, announced today the formal launch of coverage on nine oil and gas companies in the energy sector under Directors Daniel Pratt, Anthony Montano III and John Malone.
Pratt is launching coverage of Devon Energy (DVN), Chesapeake Energy (CHK), Southwestern Energy (SWN) and Newfield Exploration (NFX). Montano will cover Anadarko Petroleum (APC), Apache Corp. (APA) and EOG Resources (EOG), and Malone will cover Talisman Energy (TLM CN) and Tullow Oil (TLW LN).
"As we continue to build out the equity research platform at Ticonderoga, these initiations within the energy sector are a strategic step towards delivering the most comprehensive product possible to clients," said Ticonderoga CEO and Co-Founder Shawn McLoughlin.
The analysts stated: "More so than ever before, the larger independents are at the forefront of exploration, opening up new plays ranging from international frontier basins to unconventional North American shales. Our research is based on relative valuation, identifying those companies that will outperform in the face of geological, political and commodity price risk."
The initiations on oil and gas companies are the first for the firm's Energy Group, and further supplement sectors currently covered by Ticonderoga's fundamental analysts. They include: technology, which encompasses the technology supply chain, networking, IT hardware and China technology, semiconductors; financial services, which includes asset management, brokerage firms, exchanges, market structure and e-finance; and homebuilding and building products, as well as a daily overview of market trends and economic outlook. Ticonderoga Securities analysts use traditional pattern recognition techniques coupled with basic indicators, including MACD, Stochastic, RSI and Bollinger Bands.
