Former LexisNexis and Monster Worldwide Marketers to Lead New Marketing Initiatives
NEW YORK, Nov. 11, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- TheLadders.com, the world's leading community for $100K+ job seekers and $100K+ jobs, today announced the appointments of Nicholas Karrat as Vice President, Consumer Marketing and Denise Cautela as Vice President, Enterprise Marketing. Karrat will lead consumer-facing marketing and advertising in support of TheLadders brand, while Cautela will lead all marketing efforts directed at expanding the company's penetration into the Enterprise market. Karrat and Cautela will report directly to Alex Douzet, President and co-founder of TheLadders.com.
Karrat joins TheLadders.com from LexisNexis where as Senior Director of Marketing & Alliances he was responsible for branding, marketing and analytics of their consumer flagship Lawyers.com. In this capacity, Karrat led both strategy and execution for television advertising, search engine marketing, web analytics and strategic alliances. Cautela, who previously spent six years at Monster Worldwide in a variety of marketing leadership roles, was most recently the Head of E-commerce at Specialty Catalog, one of the nation's leading multi-channel direct marketers.

Prior to LexisNexis, Karrat was Vice President of Internet Marketing at Citigroup with accountability for the Citi-American Airlines portfolio. He previously held various marketing and advertising positions in both Youth and Affluent segments at Citigroup. Before joining Citigroup, Karrat held management positions at Juno Online and AT&T within their Partnership Marketing and Database Architecture groups. Karrat holds an MBA in Marketing from Rutgers University and has received numerous recognitions including Citigroup's Chairman Award and Reed Elsevier's Innovation Honor Roll.
Before joining Specialty Catalog, Cautela was Vice President of Marketing at ClickFuel, a one-stop online marketing services provider for small and medium-size businesses. A veteran marketer in the online recruitment space, Cautela previously held various positions at Monster Worldwide, including Director of Marketing, Healthcare, Director of Marketing, Enterprise, and Sr. Marketing Director, Emerging Markets. As Sr. Marketing Director, Emerging Markets, she helped expand the Monster global footprints into 12 emerging markets around the world across five websites, including Russia, Mexico, Turkey, Brazil and a regional Latin American website based in Argentina. She holds a BA from Framingham State University.
