WASHINGTON, Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The 2011 AFI-EU Film Showcase opens on Thursday, November 3. Presented by the American Film Institute (AFI) in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union to the United States and EU Member States, the 24th edition of the annual festival features more than 40 first-class films from European Union Member States. The movie is directed by Sweden's Tomas Alfredson. All films will be shown at the historic AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center in Silver Spring, Maryland.
