The Return of Tonic on 429 Records
Collection of Twelve New Songs Set For Release May 4
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Emerson Hart, Jeff Russo and Dan Lavery, aka Tonic, have signed with 429 Records and are readying the release of "TONIC," their fourth studio album. It's been almost eight years since the Grammy nominated "Head on Straight" (they released a Greatest Hits collection early last year), and the band has returned reenergized with a collection of twelve new songs. Produced by Tonic and Nathaniel Kunkel, "TONIC" is redolent of their trademark honest, powerful, melodic rock sound. The first single, "Release Me," will be promoted at Hot AC, Alternative and Triple-A radio outlets. 429 Records will release "TONIC" worldwide on May 4th.

Tonic has been on a whirlwind ride since their debut in 1998 when they earned the distinction of having released the #1 most-played rock song of the year. Since that auspicious debut, the band has sold millions, won numerous awards and Grammy nominations, tirelessly toured the world and developed a huge fan base, as well as taken time out for family life. Although each has also explored other creative outlets, there's a special collective energy that Hart, Russo and Lavery bring to Tonic. This band remains their main musical focus and the effortless cohesion with which they play on these distinctive new songs truly reflects that.
Says Emerson Hart: "When we play music together it feels like going home. Getting together, playing some rock-n-roll, it's the best feeling in the world."
Tonic is managed by Tom Storms at Sanctuary Artist Management. For more information, visit: www.429records.com
