The M&A Advisor Announces H. Rodgin Cohen to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Rodgin Cohen, Senior Chairman of the leading law firm Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, is the recipient of the M&A Advisor's Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Cohen is to be honored for his achievements in Mergers and Acquisitions and Finance at The M&A Advisor's 10th Annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala at The New York Athletic Club on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 7 pm.

Mr. Cohen is consistently recognized as one of the most influential people in the world of investment and banking today. For more than 40 years, he and Sullivan & Cromwell have been at the vanguard of critical issues and developments that have reshaped the financial services industry.

With his focus on acquisition, corporate governance, capital-raising, regulatory and securities law matters for major U.S. and non-U.S. banking and other financial institutions and their trade associations, Mr. Cohen has been involved in nearly every significant financial sector M&A transaction of the last 30 years, including almost 20 substantial credit transactions during the global financial crisis of 2008-2009. More recently, he has been described as the "first call for bank bosses" regarding the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.

Mr. Cohen is a trustee of New York Presbyterian Hospital, Rockefeller University, the Hackley School, Deerfield Academy, Hampton University, Lincoln Center Theater, New York City Partnership and, formerly, the Economic Club of New York; a member of the Harvard Law School Visiting Committee and the advisory boards of Wall Street Rising, United Way of Westchester-Putnam and the University of Charleston; and an honoree of The Servant of Justice Award.
