The Internet Keep Safe Coalition Expands Its Global Reach
Robyn Treyvaud joins iKeepSafe as Director of Education and International Initiatives opening the Melbourne, Australia office
WASHINGTON, July 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Internet Keep Safe Coalition announced at the annual Cyber Peace Initiative (CPI) meeting in Egypt the opening of an international office in Melbourne, Australia with the addition of recognized Internet safety expert Robyn Treyvaud as the Director of Education and International Initiatives. Robyn's role will be to develop and promote strategic policy and intervention plans uniquely tailored for partnering countries.

iKeepSafe recently joined and presented at the International Telecommunication Union's (ITU) Child Online Protection (COP) working group, based in Geneva, Switzerland. Under Robyn's direction, iKeepSafe will be able to continue to coordinate with ITU, a leading United Nations agency that specializes in information and communication technology issues worldwide, to localize initiative content and policy goals assisting international communities in developing a holistic approach to promote ethical, responsible and resilient cyber citizens worldwide. In the first project of its kind in the Middle East, iKeepSafe has also partnered with Egypt's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and the CPI in creating the first internet safety web portal in Arabic which was launched on July 5, 2010. This initiative was launched by the Suzanne Mubarak Women's International Peace Movement to be the first to address internet safety issues in the Arabic language and will serve the Arabic region (including other Arabic speaking countries).
Robyn's vast experience will allow iKeepSafe to continue their work with international leaders on a wide range of cybersafety, security and ethics issues expanding iKeepSafe's international initiatives including new efforts in China, Dubai, Egypt, Indonesia, the Philippines and Malaysia.
Biography:
Robyn is the founder and director of CyberSafeWorld, a website that addresses the whole spectrum of online safety issues, including cyberbullying, risks, security, ethics and addiction. Her efforts have provided an essential resource for schools and parents to protect and educate the world's first generation of kids to 'grow up digital' in an environment where computers, the Internet, video games and mobile phones are ubiquitous. In addition to her work as director of CyberSafeWorld, Robyn is a senior ICT consultant at Australia's Center for Strategic Education.
