Brightest Minds contest winner is awarded $25,000 scholarship to business school
NEW YORK, Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Economist GMAT Tutor, an adaptive online GMAT test preparation course from Which MBA? at The Economist Group, announced the winner of its latest $25,000 Brightest Minds MBA Scholarship Contest.
Sean Walsh of Alberta, Canada, received the highest score on the Economist GMAT Tutor's simulation test, beating more than 6,000 other contest entrants. He then participated in a tie-breaker essay writing task, which he won. "I'm still at a loss for words in trying to express my excitement and gratitude," he said. He added that an MBA degree will provide him the foundation for making a career shift. Sean currently works as a Mechanical Engineer in the energy industry, finding more environmentally friendly ways to source oil and gas, and plans to use his MBA degree to advance into the financial side of the energy industry.
The next Brightest Minds MBA Scholarship competition will launch February 2nd during The Economist's Online MBA Fair and will also award a $25,000 scholarship to the person who scores the highest on the GMAT preparation test.
