NEW YORK, Oct. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The CDM Group, one of the world's largest healthcare communications companies, announced today the launch of iVenturesHealth, a new division with the sole focus of applying technology to solve healthcare information and communications challenges.
Placing technology under a single entity will allow iVenturesHealth to reimagine and manage proprietary lines of software, data products and consulting services originally developed within The CDM Group. A dedicated unit will also enable The CDM Group network of agencies to leverage these solutions for clients.
"iVenturesHealth is also partnering with leading technology and analytics companies like Google and Annalect to support our products and services," said Jo Ann Saitta, Chief Digital Officer of The CDM Group, who will lead the venture. "These partners are already helping us to bring an entirely new level of insight and innovation to our clients."
The CDM Group is the first healthcare communications company to establish a dedicated team with the technology expertise and experience to tackle the complex issues healthcare marketers face today. The iVenturesHealth team has already developed technology solutions and services in three areas - enabling better communications, data management and smarter innovation.
iVenturesHealth is actively working with several large pharmaceutical clients on engagements spanning from licensing products, such as DriiverSeat™ (a co-navigated iPad platform) and InsideMD™ (a real-time physician insights platform), to consulting on innovation in data and digital platforms. One client, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, is engaged with iVenturesHealth on high level innovation and digital optimization.
"Digital has the power to transform healthcare and it is encouraging to see agency partners focusing more energy on specifically leveraging digital technology to solve some of our biggest challenges," said Takeda Chief Digital Officer, Bruno Villetelle. "We're excited about working with iVenturesHealth and continuing to innovate together."
In addition, iVenturesHealth's partnership with Annalect, an Omnicom company, allows clients to take complex healthcare data and make it meaningful through analysis, visualizations and segmentation that is unique to the healthcare industry.
"For 30 years, The CDM Group has grown and evolved with the healthcare industry, giving us unique insight into the pain points faced by our clients," said Ed Wise, Chairman and CEO of The CDM Group. "We know that the technology and healthcare convergence is the answer and through iVenturesHealth we've invested heavily in the expertise and experience to make this happen. This is just the start. Clients are already taking full advantage of this expertise."
