WASHINGTON, July 1, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Aspen Institute today announced its 2016 class of Braddock Scholars. The Braddock Scholars program is designed to support members of the Aspen Global Leadership Network that are leading innovative organizations that have the potential to make a transformative impact on society.
The program is made possible thanks to the generosity of Aspen trustee, Rick Braddock. Mr. Braddock, who had a distinguished and varied career in global business including several entrepreneurial activities, is serving as one of the senior mentors. The other mentors include Aspen lifetime trustee Ann Korologos, Aspen trustees Bill Mayer, Jerry Greenwald, and Marc Nathanson, and Henry Crown Fellow and Senior Moderator of the Aspen Global Leadership Network Joanna Rees.
"Entrepreneurs are great at starting businesses that solve important problems in new way. Many of the skills needed to effectively scale these innovations comes from spending time in big companies," said Braddock. "We aim to bridge the 'scaling gap' by channeling the expertise of our mentors towards the challenges our scholars face."

- Kellee James, Co-Founder & CEO, Mercaris
