The American College of Financial Services Named to 2016 Military Friendly® Schools List
BRYN MAWR, Pa., Nov. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- For the third consecutive year, The American College of Financial Services has been named a Military Friendly® School, a designation awarded to the country's top colleges and universities doing the most to help military students succeed in the classroom and after graduation.
The list, compiled by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs, STEM Jobs™, and Military Spouse, provides service members and their families with transparent, data-driven ratings about post-military education and career opportunities.
"We want to do everything we can to honor their service," said Ted Digges, Executive Director of The American College Penn Mutual Center for Veterans Affairs. "We offer full scholarships to all active duty, veterans, and their spouses, and just launched an initiative to help with their career placement in the financial services industry,"
Institutions competed for the elite Military Friendly® School title by completing a survey of over 100 questions covering 10 categories, including military support on campus, graduation and employment outcomes, and military spouse policies.
"Post-secondary institutions earning the 2016 Military Friendly® School award have exceptionally strong programs for transitioning service members and spouses," said Daniel Nichols, Chief Product Officer of Victory Media and Navy Reserve veteran. "Our Military Friendly® Schools are truly aligning their military programs and services with employers to help students translate military experience, skills, and training into successful careers after graduation."
