THAIFEX-World of Food ASIA 2010 Rescheduled
BANGKOK, April 30 /PRNewswire/ --In view of the recent closure of some major airports in Europe due to Eyjafjallajokull volcanic eruptions in Iceland, potentially affecting travel for exhibitors and visitors from Europe and around the world along with the current situation in Bangkok, Thailand, a joint decision has been made by the organizers to reschedule THAIFEX-World of Food ASIA 2010 to 30 June-4 July 2010.
Mrs. Srirat Rastapana, Director-General of the Department of Export Promotion, the Ministry of Commerce stated, because of these unfortunate events, the three co-organizing partners of the THAIFEX - World of Food ASIA 2010, the Department of Export Promotion, the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Koelnmesse, have decided to announce the postponement of the exposition from May 12th-16th, 2010, to June 30th-July 4th, 2010. The venue of the event will remain unchanged, at Challenger, IMPACT Muang-Thong-Thani.
"The difficult decision to reschedule the event was made after much discussion and feedback from the industry. Our purpose is to ensure that participants' experience at THAIFEX-2010 is more safety. However a stronger communications campaign will be undertaken in the coming months to further increase visitors attendance to receive updates of the new trade fair dates and exhibitors can expect to receive more information on new sea and air freight deadlines within the week as necessary steps are being taken with the appointed freight forwarder to ensure a smooth transition," said Mrs. Srirat.
The Director-General of the DEP noted that "The organizers will confirm that, and also make the grandest and most significant food expositions in Southeast Asia. You can rest assured that all your expectations for a comprehensive showcase of latest and international-standard food innovations will be met. As well, the venue of the event, IMPACT Exhibition Centre, is currently unaffected due to its location away from Central Bangkok, international visitors are confident that they will not be affected by the protest."
THAIFEX - World of Food ASIA 2010 is an excellent opportunity to take a comprehensive and convenient in food products, food innovations and services.
