"Texas All-Stars" Lineup Announced For The Resort at Paws Up's Annual Montana Master Grillers Five-Star BBQ Weekend
Over Memorial Day weekend, the biggest culinary talents in barbecue host three days of fine food and drink, music, wilderness activities and more
GREENOUGH, Mont., March 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Resort at Paws Up®, Montana's premier luxury ranch resort, is kicking off summer with a resounding sizzle by welcoming guests for a weekend of finger-lickin' flavor and spectacular wilderness adventures at Montana Master Grillers: Texas All-Stars. The all-inclusive Memorial Day weekend (May 27–30, 2016) event celebrates what Paws Up does best: gourmet outdoor dining prepared by the most outstanding chefs working today.
Good Eats: Montana Master Grillers 2016 will feature four renowned BBQ chefs from a state that takes its barbecue very seriously: Texas. The event will feature grilling demonstrations and flame-kissed lunches and dinners prepared by the world-class chefs. The all-stars include Chef Tim Byres from Smoke in Dallas, TX; Chef Evan LeRoy from Freedman's in Austin, TX; Chef Wayne Mueller from Louie Mueller Barbecue in Taylor, TX; Chef Kent Rathbun from Hickory in Plano, TX and of course, Paws Up's own Executive Chef Ben Jones.
Perfect Pairings: A weekend of grilling and BBQ wouldn't be complete without craft beer and small-batch spirits. So, Montana's Philipsburg Brewing Company and RoughStock Distillery (Bozeman, MT) will also be participating in the weekend event, along with Austin, Texas distilleries Dulce Vida Organic Tequila and Tito's Handmade Vodka. Dennis Cakebread from Cakebread Cellars in Napa Valley will also be offering featured wine tastings and pairing varietals with the featured chefs' fare.
Barrels (Both Gun and Wine): On Saturday afternoon, Dennis Cakebread will lead a thrilling sporting clays adventure. Guests who sign up in advance have the chance to yell "Pull!" and talk shop with a winemaking legend. Afterward, participants will kick back for an intimate wine tasting with their fellow sharpshooters.
Wrangle Up an Appetite: As part of Montana Master Grillers: Texas All-Stars, guests will partake in a myriad of wilderness adventures, such as horseback riding or whitewater rafting with one-on-one interaction with some of the finest chefs, distillers and brewers and winemakers in the United States.
Live Beats: On Sunday night, a concert by breakout local Missoula band, the Lil' Smokies, the winner of the 2015 Telluride Bluegrass Festival band competition, will end the weekend on a high note. The group is widely acclaimed for their unique blend of traditional bluegrass and newgrass as well as for their raw energy and incredible musicianship.
The Montana Master Grillers: Texas All-Stars all-inclusive weekend from May 27–30, 2016, starts at $975 per person, per night for four days, three nights.
