KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- TeamHealth (NYSE: TMH), a leading physician services organization, names Steve Clifton executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary effective Sept. 14, 2015, and Eric Norman chief human resources officer effective Sept. 1, 2015.
As executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for TeamHealth, Clifton will provide counsel to TeamHealth's Board of Directors and clinical and administrative leadership. He will also direct and manage the legal functions of the organization, including corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory and contractual compliance, partnerships and affiliations, and healthcare operations.
Prior to joining TeamHealth, Clifton most recently served as senior vice president and general counsel at Health Management Associates (HMA) and the vice president of legal operations at Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). Clifton received his bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University and his law degree from the University of Kentucky.

Prior to his time at TeamHealth, Norman served as the senior vice president of HR, senior vice president of sales operations and HR corporate business partners, vice president of HR for pharmaceutical distribution, and director of HR for Cardinal Health. Norman holds a bachelor's degree in human resources management from the University of Texas at San Antonio, is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and has received his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification.
